The whole point of coming to Koh Jum is to relax and do nothing. There is very little on the island in the way of organised entertainment, but here are a few suggestions of things to do on Koh Jum if you are feeling active.
Take A Longtail Boat Tour Around The Island
Seeing Koh Jum from the water gives a whole new perspective on its beauty – plus being on a longtail is an experience in itself. Ask your resort to organise a longtail for you – don’t forget sunscreen, water and a hat
Go Hiking Up Koh Pu Mountain
You can’t miss Koh Pu mountain if you’re in the south of Koh Jum – it dominates the skyline looking north. It makes for adventurous day trekking, but you should ideally go with a guide.
Water Sports
You can go swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving on Koh Jum – most resorts will have mask and snorkels for hire. Many of Koh Jum’s beaches have a lot of rocks that are only visible at low tide, so be careful when you walk into the sea. Talk to your resort manager to work out the best place and time to enjoy swimming.
Beach Walks
Walk along Koh Jum’s beautiful beaches, sunbathe and enjoy the spectacular sunsets (with a sundowner in hand). Koh Jum’s long, empty beaches are perfect for long walks and jogging if you are maintaining a fitness regime.
Hire A Motorbike
Hire a motorbike and drive around the island – there are a few simple roads and very little traffic that make it easy to move around. Be sure to wear a helmet and to have travel insurance. Most resorts have motorbikes you can rent.
Thai Cooking Lessons
Some resorts will offer informal Thai food cooking lessons, which can be great fun – and you get to eat what you make afterwards too.
